About the Role

We are seeking a highly technical Systems Integration & Workflow Automation Engineer to design and implement an automated order fulfillment and payment release workflow across our website, vendor partners, and logistics providers.

This role will be responsible for building a seamless system where:

Orders placed on our website are automatically transmitted to vendors.

Logistics partners receive order details for pickup and delivery.

Delivery confirmation and validation triggers internal notifications.

Payment to vendors is conditionally released after validation approval.

Internal stakeholders receive real-time confirmation alerts before fund release.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement API-based integrations between:
• E-commerce platform
• Vendor systems
• Logistics/delivery partners
• Payment gateway systems
• Build automated workflow logic for:
• Order validation
• Driver pickup confirmation
• Payment release triggers
• Develop event-driven notifications (email/SMS/dashboard alerts)
• Create dashboards for order lifecycle visibility
• Implement audit logging and transaction tracking
• Ensure secure handling of financial transactions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in backend development or systems integration
• Strong experience with REST APIs and webhooks
• Experience integrating payment gateways (Stripe, ACH, escrow logic)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong understanding of workflow automation architecture
• Experience with database design and transaction management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating logistics APIs (UPS, FedEx, Shippo, etc.)
• Experience building approval-based payment systems
• Background in e-commerce order management systems
• Experience in building vendor management platforms

Compensation

Competitive hourly or project-based compensation depending on experience.
