Position Overview

Omnera seeks a professional Business Analyst – Computer Systems Analyst to analyze, evaluate, and improve the company’s computer-based information systems and enterprise integrations supporting its online retail technology platform.

This position focuses on systems analysis, requirements documentation, technical evaluation, and integration validation to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into functional system specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze Omnera’s existing computer systems architecture and platforms to identify integration requirements, system dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate technical and functional requirements necessary for seamless integration with third-party software services, applications, APIs, middleware, and external data sources.
  • Conduct structured requirements-gathering workshops and stakeholder interviews to define business objectives, system specifications, operational constraints, and integration expectations.
  • Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), detailed functional specifications, workflow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and system interaction documentation to support solution design and implementation.
  • Translate approved business requirements into detailed technical specifications, including system architecture diagrams, API definitions, database schemas, and integration logic for the software development team.
  • Perform systems gap analysis to identify discrepancies between existing system capabilities and proposed solutions, highlighting required enhancements, configuration changes, or new integrations.
  • Coordinate, document, and manage System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring traceability between requirements, test cases, and validation results.
  • Validate system outputs, reports, and transactional processes against documented requirements, business rules, performance standards, and compliance criteria.
  • Analyze system performance metrics, transaction logs, synchronization latency, and error rates to recommend technical enhancements that improve efficiency, scalability, and integration stability.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation to support deployment procedures, environment configurations, rollback strategies, monitoring frameworks, and ongoing system operations.
  • Analyze and design integration frameworks that connect in-store inventory management systems with online, web-based sales platforms to ensure seamless, real-time inventory synchronization and consistent data across channels.
  • Document comprehensive data flow mappings between point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory databases, e-commerce platforms, and payment gateways to support real-time order validation, stock reservation, and financial reconciliation.
  • Evaluate API-based integrations, and event-driven architectures to enable scalable, automated synchronization of inventory availability, order processing, and transaction records across systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience performing computer systems analysis, requirements documentation, and system integration evaluation.
  • Experience preparing BRDs and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing, designing, and validating complex system workflows
  • Experience with vendor integrations, logistics integrations, and system deployments
  • Experience coordinating UAT, SIT, regression testing, and cross-functional validation efforts
  • Experience working closely with operations and technical development teams to translate business requirements into implementable solutions
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with application integrations and third-party service architecture
  • Background supporting digital platforms, CRM, ERP, or operational systems
  • Experience in consulting, systems transformation, or multi-department environments
