Business Analyst - Part-time

Summary: The Business Analyst is responsible for delivering quality solutions to Omnera's business, meeting business requirements. This position will work with IT Business partners and users to understand and gather requirements, identify gaps, and suggest technologies to promote business, testing (Integration, UAT, and Regression), and training to support initiatives. The candidate will maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and other IT resources to leverage their knowledge and expertise to enable improved business processes, driving process optimization and simplification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifying platforms and technologies that can effectively promote the business.
  • Collaborating with web developers to ensure the website is built according to business requirements.
  • Gathering requirements from stakeholders and performing market research to analyze competitors and industry trends.
  • Recommending improvements to the company website, social media presence, and other technologies that can help market and scale the business.
  • Creating Business Requirement Documents (BRD) to capture project specifications and objectives.
  • Testing systems to ensure they meet functional and business needs.
  • Acting as a liaison between web developers and stakeholders, facilitating communication to generate business growth and increase inflow.
  • Ensuring that all projects are completed on time and in alignment with business goals.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working as a business analyst or project manager
  • Ability to work in Agile mode to coordinate work with teams in different time zones
  • BA/BS in computer science
  • Ability to think "process" and "best practice" rather than just function, along with a solid understanding of end-to-end processes for e-commerce portals
  • Sound and accurate judgment; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Adept at developing system requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing business solutions, while achieving deadlines and budget goals
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is innovative and quick to learn
  • On-call availability for project go-live and off-shift support
  • Flexible schedule to align with other program resources
  • Flexible to travel as needed or deemed necessary (domestic & international)
